A fire blanket is a tool for extinguishing small and incipient fires. It is made of materials that slow down and suppress the fire.

Putting a blanket on the fire prevents access of oxygen to the flame and thus stops the burning. The blanket should be hung on the wall near the possible occurrence of fire. In the event of a fire, the blanket is unfolded by pulling the black strips hanging outwards and holding them to place the blanket on the fire.
