Our fire retardant granules are suitable for class D fire loads and lithium-ion batteries. The extinguishing effect of granules on metal fires has been tested and confirmed by the Dresden MPA.

After the burning surface is covered with Extover®, the particles replace the oxygen and separate the oxygen from the burning object. Like glass, Extover® melts at a certain temperature.

With Extover® fire extinguishing granules you are perfectly prepared for all lithium fires in your workshop as well. If a battery catches fire here, you can quickly and safely wipe it with granules! The granules are gently placed on the fire. Expanded glass granules surround the fire and suffocate it. At particularly high temperatures, the melt melts and spills onto the surface of the burning metal. The melt forms an airtight seal, which, as it cools, bakes and extinguishes the metal fire. Re-ignition is effectively prevented.
